This is where YOU get to know ME so much better. I promise to be truthful, God wouldn't be happy with me if I wasn't.

My Testimony:
I've gone to church for many years, for some reason though, I just didn't get it. You could ask me questions about Bible stories and I could give you answers, but I didn't quite understand the whole part about Christ. But that all changed one Sunday night. Prior to that night I had been ridiculed and made fun of because of the fact that I went to church. It wouldn't have hurt so much if it wouldn't have been someone close, but it was someone very close. To add to that, a girl totally rejected me, a girl I really liked and thought I was in love with. I totally lost it. I called up my friend Sally and told her what was up. I told her to tell Mrs. Johnson that I loved her, and I told Sally that I loved her, I didn't think I would ever see either one of them again. Then I got off the phone. I wasn't thinking, I wasn't myself. My bestfriend Ashley Hadley is on speed dial, number two. Without looking at the phone, I dialed all seven digits of her phone number. Hadley's usually get to bed early, but Ashley answered on the second ring at 10:30 at night. At that moment, I let it all go. I was sobbing by the time I was done. Then, after I finished, Ashley told me something I will never forget. She said, "Brandon, you don't need to die because Jesus died for you, so that you will live forever." It all clicked, every little piece fit and I understood why Jesus died and religion has been so awesome since.

A side note:
Each year I do the American Cancer Societies "Relay for Life" with my cousins Jan and Dave. I do it because I know way too many people that have cancer, and too many that have died from it. I believe that in time God will show us the answer and we will be safe from such a horrific disease.
