Royal Valley High School: This is the coolest school on the block. It services the communities of Hoyt and Mayetta as well as the Pottawatomi Indian Reservation. It is in this fine institution which I have gained knowledge and understand since Kindergarten. God has worked throughout this school, but he isn't done yet. After all, I've still got two years left.

In Loving Remembrance:

In the past two years, the Royal Valley School District 337 lost two excellent and very talented teachers to separate incidents. Our prayers are with their families as well as the students whose lives they affected.

Mr. Wayne Wahlmeier:
On January 25, 2001; teacher and coach Wayne Wahlmeier died from a heart attack at the Royal Valley High School site. Mr. Wahlmeier taught for many years at Royal Valley. His love for his students and the gift he had to be able to befriend ever single one of them will stand out forever. He was truly loved by family, friends, and his students and he will never be forgotten.

Mrs. Dianne Hamersky:
At the intersection of 86th and Wilson road in Northern Shawnee County, Kansas outside of Elmont, Mrs. Hamersky was hit by a trash truck on September 28, 2001. She had a special talent which few people have, the gift of music. Her skill and talent was magnificent, and she shared it by giving flute lessons and teaching elementary music at RVES. I regret that I didn't know her better than I did, but I am blessed because I did know her. He students loved her, and she loved them. The music of her soul will resound throughout the halls of Royal Valley Elementary forever.
